The piece that inspired this fragrance is called "The White Peacock" by Fiona Macleod. In the music the listener can hear the creamy white poppies, the sweeping seas of flowers, and the silent noble glide of the grand bird that floats above the fields of flowers. The perfume is composed around the lily that must have floated above the fields of violets, evoking the distant fog and oleander of the poem. The lily is made smoother with the elegant jasmine of Egypt, India and France. Whiter with ambrette musks and creamier with liquid ambrette extract. Violet and Otto rose help extend the freshness of the bergamot and melon top accord. The overall effect like the music is lush, warm, noble, and dreamlike.

They were pioneers in DYI Brooklyn. They began by turning things they loved into sctend stories of cowboys, open terrain, Russian novel characters, and folk song. D.S. & DURGA creates fragrances that live on the level of great music, painting, and literature. A perfume is a world you can return to over and over again - a keyhole into far off places - material and imaginary. Each fragrance is an amalgamation of impressions, heavy research, memories, and unconventional ideas born in the mind of David, creating imaginative scents with realism and purpose.
