The ambrette seeds are hand-harvested in the tropical forest of Northern Peru and then sun-dried, sifted, cleaned, and aired. The ambrette releases an amber, powdery, musky, slightly animalic fragrance. It is used as an alternative to animal musk. It is an ingredient with multiple rare and precious facets.
